Can we talk?  Are you prepared for this world and for the next?

 In life, when we are young, our parents usually work hard to teach and train us so that we will be prepared to meet life’s challenges as we grow up in this world.  It is a joy for parents to see their children learn and improve and have all the opportunities that they had, or didn’t have, and more. They send us to schools, help us develop our talents, do things with us and take us places and have fun.  They are to teach us truths and principles of right and wrong and how to be organized, get a job, and learn to work for those goals we desire. They usually correct us in our mistakes and try to set good examples of how we should act and behave in order to help us ‘get on our feet’ and to become independent and to live full lives.  They spend much time and hopefully pray for our success and happiness so that we can receive the blessings that this life has to offer, or at least should have!

Those parents and their children who have prepared and have planned for their futures have put forth the effort and investment of learning and working for success in this world will usually find those things for which they had planned. But have they learned for themselves and taught their children about the next life?  Have we been prepared for life after death, how to deal with it; or do we even believe in such a thing?

This is a most important question that everyone must ask of themselves and to find their own answers which are available.  I remember when I did and expressed it in a song!

I wrote in my journal about a song that I wrote expressing these feelings called, “Are You Up There.”  My journal records:

“I was in my bed in California late one evening having read scriptures, prayed, and pondered for a great amount of time as to what it was that was in my bosom that I NEEDED to “say”. I could feel it as though it were a physical object inside of me trying to get out. I would stare at the piano keys that were located at the foot of my bed. I was wide-awake but totally still and quiet for around 4+ hours. At about 2 or three o’clock A.M., something happened.

It was an emotional experience as I asked myself . . . “What are you trying to say?” “What is it?” It was like a light turned on . . . and got brighter. Here I was sitting up in bed with my pencil and pad of paper in hand and I started to write. Not only did I write lyrics to an inspired song but also, as I looked at the piano keys, I could see what the music cords and melody were to be. I hardly ever went back to check what I had written or made changes! When I finished I re-read the song and started to cry. I will NEVER forget that experience as long as I live! Someone was helping me. “

Are You Up There?

It could all end tomorrow,
 and where would I be?
Does life go on
or will it be the end of me?
Seems a bit unfair to think that all I’ve learned and done 
belongs to no one.

Why should I cherish living
if there’s no so called plan?

Why, I would have no future
 if it were left to man.

I can’t believe that we just happened
 and don’t know what for.
There must be more.

Why should I trust in a love 
that I can’t have forever?
Does it seem right 
to live a game of take-away?
Should I want for children 
if there isn’t any more for them to live for?

Maybe I’m a pessimist – then
 maybe I’m not.
One thing that I’d like to know 
is what I’ve got.
I don’t want a miracle 
or to see you in the air,
 but are you up there?
Are you everywhere?  
Do you really care?
  Are you up there?

“I prayed to my Heavenly Father giving Him thanks as I knew that I had been inspired from another source, a very, very good source, for I could NOT have written these words or music myself. I could hardly sleep the rest of the night. I would lie there for the next few hours and re-collect my experience and thoughts. I wanted morning to come very badly so I could share this experience and song with my Brothers!”

Everyone hopes and wants to believe that this life has purpose and reasons to live; that someone cares and is watching over us.  Even the atheist when facing death cries out, “Oh my God, please help me.”  We can fear death or prepare for it by asking and studying the Holy Scriptures which have God’s and Jesus Christ’s words recorded about these things.  We also can pray and ask if God is there and if the things the scriptures teach are true.  Will you be talking or praying in vain?  No!

As the lyrics to the song asks, it makes reason to believe that ‘there must be more’; that we didn’t just happen and that there was a ‘PLAN of Life’. Well, there is!

According to my faith and beliefs, we all lived before this world was with our Heavenly Parents and were born with a spirit body.  We were taught truths and learned many things.  We were told about God’s ‘Plan of Life’ and the creation that would happen.  We had free agency to choose to come to this world or not via our earthly parents in order for us to obtain a body of flesh and bones in which would house our spirit bodies and be able to create life.  This was all very sacred.

Without getting into a lengthy doctrinal article here, we all as children of God were prepared before we came to earth to gain a physical body like God, learn truths and choose between good and evil, and to become more like our Heavenly parents and to be given the opportunity or not to be proven or tested; to become parents and co-creators ourselves with God in bearing children here on earth.  We were taught the laws of chastity and marriage and “to multiply and replenish the earth” in order to fulfill “God’s work and glory in bringing to pass the immortality and eternal life of man.”  This is what God does as a creator.

The Lord Jesus, the Son of God , came to earth to teach us and show by example the way we must follow and become in order to redeem us from our sins. He knew we would make mistakes and that it would take a God, or son of God, to be able to pay the price for our sins, which He did for us!  “God is not the author of confusion “and “our ways are not God’s ways”, but we are His children and must obey His laws; and if not, we will pay a price.  As always, we have our free agency and the power to choose.

In today’s world, there is a tendency to ignore and even deny God’s existence and to choose evil versus good, which anyone can do.  That doesn’t mean that He isn’t still there!  “The natural man is an enemy to God.” It takes effort and good choices and work in order to do good. God has always shown to us those things we must do in order to return to live with Him once again.  He taught Adam and Eve and has spoken to us through His prophets over time about those sacred things and His plan of life.  He gave us the Ten Commandments through Moses and spoke through other prophets.  Jesus Christ was born and came to fulfill those commandments and we now must follow His words and laws that He gave us.

We have been promised all that God has with posterity and the blessings of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob through our various lineages of which we were born.  Our lineage is important and our posterity will derive us blessings.  Though God separated us into twelve tribes and confounded our languages at the time of the Tower of Babel, it was all done for a wise purpose.  God has not forgotten us but remembered each of us and His various tribes that He gave His words and promises to and commanded them to be recorded as with The Bible and The Book of Mormon.  He will soon gather all the tribes together once again along with their records which have been hidden up to come forth.  Jesus will also be returning once again.

God has continually told us that we can all return to heaven after we die  to come forth after the resurrection to be judged of our works.   He also has told us that, “In my house are many mansions.” “There is a glory like unto the stars, the moon and the sun.  So also is the resurrection.”  We will live in one of His mansions above of which laws we are able to live, or in everlasting darkness; hell.

Now the question:

So, have you prepared yourself to dwell with God once again?  “The next world?”  Have you read His words and listened to His prophets so that you know those things that you must do while here on earth in order to achieve the highest degree of glory In His Kingdom after this life?  We are to follow Jesus’s example and with faith, repentance, and baptism by one holding the authority from Jesus, (children under the age of 8 years of age are innocent and have no need to be baptized), and to receive the Holy Ghost.  There are also sacred covenants that the Lord’s people take upon themselves in The House of the Lord and have since the beginning of time.  These are most important promises between you and God.  This knowledge has always been upon the earth since Adam and Eve.

These truths are not secret but sacred and are available today but you must be worthy of receiving them.  They are performed in the Holy Temples or The House of The Lord.  Without them, you will not be able to return to live in the Celestial Kingdom, the highest kingdom of Heaven where God dwells, without them.  Yes, God has prepared other kingdoms for those who cannot or are not willing to live the higher laws yet  promises that you will be happy. “But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.”  1 Corinthians 2:9

Some records from the Bible with many precious parts have been taken out of it and were lost from the Bible during the time of Constantine about 3-400 AD.  The Lord knew this would happen and “will not be frustrated”.   Thus, He had the tribes in various parts of the world record His words as He visited them after He was resurrected.  These records with those missing truths will come forth before we are to be judged.

Again, it is WE, who must choose.  God’s blessings are available to ALL, if they but seek them, learn them, and live His laws and keep His Commandments.

THIS IS WHAT WE EACH SHOULD BE SEEKING TO LEARN AND PREPARED TO LIVE!

 The  following was written by Ben Stein and recited by him on CBS Sunday Morning Commentary.

My confession:  

I don’t like getting pushed around for being a Jew, and I don’t think Christians like getting pushed around for being Christians.  I think people who believe in God are sick and tired of geetting pushed around, period.  I have no idea where the concept came from, that America is an explicitly atheist country. I can’t find it in the Constitution and I don’t like it being shoved down m throat.!

Or maybe I  can put it another way: where did the idea come from that we  should worship celebrities and we aren’t allowed to worship God  as we understand Him?  I guess that’s a sign that I’m  getting old, too.  But there are a lot of us who are  wondering where these celebrities came from and where the  America we knew went to.

In light of the many jokes we  send to one another for a laugh, this is a little  different:  This is not intended to be a joke; it’s not  funny, it’s intended to get you thinking.

In  light of recent events… terrorists attack, school shootings,  etc..  I think it started when Madeleine Murray O’Hare (she  was murdered, her body found a few years ago) complained she  didn’t want prayer in our schools, and we said OK.  Then  someone said you better not read the Bible in school…   The Bible says thou shalt not kill; thou shalt not steal, and  love your neighbor as yourself.  And we said  OK.

Then Dr. Benjamin Spock said we shouldn’t spank our  children when they misbehave, because their little personalities  would be warped and we might damage their self-esteem (Dr.  Spock’s son committed suicide).  We said an expert should  know what he’s talking about..  And we said  okay..

Now we’re asking ourselves why our children have no conscience, why they don’t know right from wrong, and why it  doesn’t bother them to kill strangers, their classmates, and  themselves.

Probably, if we think about it long and hard  enough, we can figure it out.  I think it has a great deal  to do with ‘WE REAP WHAT WE SOW.’

Funny how simple it is  for people to trash God and then wonder why the world’s going to  hell.  Funny how we believe what the newspapers say, but question what the Bible says.  Funny how you can send  ‘jokes’ through e-mail and they spread like wildfire, but when  you start sending messages regarding the Lord, people think  twice about sharing.  Funny how lewd, crude, vulgar and  obscene articles pass freely through cyberspace, but public  discussion of God is suppressed in the school and workplace.

Are you laughing yet? 

Funny how when you forward  this message, you will not send it to many on your address list  because you’re not sure what they believe, or what they will  think of you for sending it.

Funny how we can be more  worried about what other people think of us than what God thinks of us.

The Plan of Happiness – It’s Heavenly Father’s Plan Of Life

Who am I?

Why am I here?

Where am I going?

What you have seen and heard with this film is of most importance.  It is something that each of us try to share with one another because as the Lord said, “where much is given, much is expected.”  We truly have been blessed!

My family and I have tried to share with our music and word, the ‘Plan of Happiness’ to individuals and families all over the world.  The message is the same for all of us; that we are children of God who loves us and has placed us here on earth in families to prove ourselves and to give us the “power” to choose ‘the way’ we wish to live our lives.  Free agency is something we fought for even before we came to this world and we continue to do so today.  Good and Evil are the choices.

Yes, we will make mistakes.  Jesus knew we would and that is why He came to this world to show us the way to love one another and to follow Him.  He knew that some of our debts would require much more than we alone would be able to pay and so He died for us and took upon Himself our sins.  In return He has asked us to follow Him and to repent and take upon ourselves His name by being baptized even as He was and receive the Holy Ghost.

I know that God lives and that Jesus is the Christ.  I know that the Holy Ghost will lead and guide us through life just as our GPS systems lead us on unfamiliar highways.  I know that Jesus is to return again soon.   Even though the angels of heaven know not when He shall return, the Lord has given us “signs of the times” that we might be warned and prepared.  Those signs are now upon us and I pray that everyone who watched this video, those who heard our album called “The Plan”, those who have felt Him calling you and those that have prayed for guidance and are seeking answers may know in your hearts that we are NOT ALONE!

Read your scriptures and pray with all your hearts seeking for answers for therein lies the keys to further truth and knowledge.  If you seek, ye shall find.  If you knock, it shall be opened up unto you.  If you would like to know more about what we believe, click here.

With life there is ‘The Plan’.  There is also ‘The Way; The Way to get back to our Heavenly Father.  Jesus is ‘The Way‘, the one who will bring us together.  He is the One, He is ‘The Way’!

Native American Indians – This Is YOUR DAY!

“And now, the thing which our father meaneth concerning the grafting in of the natural branches through the fulness of the Gentiles, is, that in the latter days, when our seed shall have dwindled in unbelief, yea, for the space of many years, and many generations after the Messiah shall be manifested in body unto the children of men, then shall the fulness of the gospel of the Messiah come unto the Gentiles, and from the Gentiles unto the remnant of our seed—

And at that day shall the remnant of our seed know that they are of the house of Israel, and that they are the covenant people of the Lord; and then shall they know and come to the knowledge of their forefathers, and also to the knowledge of the gospel of their Redeemer, which was ministered unto their fathers by him; wherefore, they shall come to the knowledge of their Redeemer and the very points of his doctrine, that they may know how to come unto him and be saved.”  1 Ne. 15: 13-14

Nevertheless, my work shall go forth, for inasmuch as the knowledge of a Savior has come unto the world, through the testimony of the Jews, (The Bible) even so shall the knowledge of a Savior come unto my people— (The Book of Mormon)

And to the Nephites, and the Jacobites, and the Josephites, and the Zoramites, through the testimony of their fathers—

And this testimony shall come to the knowledge of the Lamanites, and the Lemuelites, and the Ishmaelites, who dwindled in unbelief because of the iniquity of their fathers, whom the Lord has suffered to destroy their brethren the Nephites, because of their iniquities and their abominations.

And for this very purpose are these plates

preserved, which contain these records—that the promises of the Lord might be fulfilled, which he made to his people;

And that the Lamanites might come to the knowledge of their fathers, and that they might know the promises of the Lord, and that they may believe the gospel and rely upon the merits of Jesus Christ, and be glorified through faith in his name, and that through their repentance they might be saved. Amen.

“Other Sheep I Have Which Are Not Of This Fold”

Jesus Christ spoke to His apostles prior to his crucifixion and resurrection explaining to them that there were other sheep that were not of this fold that He must visit. Following His resurrection, Jesus went around the world to other people, or sheep, as His visitation is recorded in The Book of Mormon, which is Another Testament of Jesus Christ. Jesus also went to others and visited them.  Those records are yet to come forth.

Why was this so important to visit other people around the world?  Because everyone must come to know that Jesus is their Savior or Shepherd.  Also, many of Jesus’s precious words were taken out of the Bible during the days of Constantine in 3-400 AD.  By having other people (sheep) record His words, when they all come together, they will be as one or as other Testaments of Jesus Chirst and His words.  There will be no doubt of what Jesus has said and that He is our Savior and The Way to everlasting life.  These other books or records also fulfill the scripture in that the sheep or people, will be of one fold, and Jesus would be the Shepherd of all.

Jesus Christ visited the people in America after He was resurrected and showed them his nail scarred hands and feet telling them He was their Savior too, and they were his people, or sheep.

Why do we need the Bible and The Book of Mormon?  A promise declares that the sticks of Joseph (The Book of Mormon) and of Judah (The Bible) shall be one in the Lord’s hand.

There is a prophecy that the Bible (The Book of Judah) and The Book of Mormon (The Book of Joseph) shall grow together.

Another promise is that The Lord’s words (The Book of Mormon) will hiss forth unto the ends of the earth.

The Book of Mormon was written for the intent that we may believe the Bible.

And a MOST important PROMISE: After you have read these things (The Book of Mormon), Ask God if these things are not true and it will be made known unto you!

CAN YOU IMAGINE WHEN WE GET EVEN MORE SACRED HIDDEN RECORDS OF JESUS’S WORDS WHAT THIS WORLD WILL BE LIKE?

Law of witnesses: “in the mouth of two or three witnesses shall every word be established”, D&C 6: 28
(Deut. 17: 6; Matt. 18: 16; 2 Cor. 13: 1; Ether 5: 4; D&C 128: 3).

A statement in The Book of Mormon sums up our assertion that Mormons are most certainly devoted Christians:

“We talk of Christ, we rejoice in Christ, we preach of Christ, we prophecy of Christ” (2 Nephi 25: 26).

We seek to emulate Christ. We love the Bible, which testifies of Jesus Christ, and we love The Book of Mormon: Another Testament of Jesus Christ. With all people of other faiths who love and worship Jesus Christ, we declare with them that we too are Christians.

President Gordon B. Hinckley, prior President of the Church, said:

We are Christians in a very real sense and that is coming to be more and more widely recognized…we have a very vital and dynamic religion based on the teachings of Jesus Christ. We, of course, accept Jesus Christ as our Leader, our King, our Savior…the dominant figure in the history of the world, the only perfect Man who ever walked the earth, the living Son of the living God. He is our Savior and our Redeemer through whose atoning sacrifice has come the opportunity of eternal life. Members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints pray and worship in the name of Jesus Christ. He is the center of our faith and the head of our Church. The Book of Mormon is Another Testament of Jesus Christ and witnesses of His divinity, His life, and His Atonement.

Mormons believe that Jesus is the actual Son of God, our Deliverer, Redeemer and Savior.

Mormons believe that Jesus was born to Mary, His mortal mother, and that He was the Only Begotten Son of our Heavenly Father.

Mormons believe that Jesus was baptized of John and later told Nicodemus that the only way to enter the kingdom of God was to do likewise.

Mormons believe that Jesus lived a perfect life—the only individual to do so–and that He invited us to come unto Him and follow His example and His teachings.

Mormons believe that Jesus Christ organized a church while He lived on the earth. Mormons believe that the name of that His church was The Church of Jesus Christ, and Mormons believe that the organization of that church was as perfect as He was. Mormons believe that the foundation of the ancient Church of Jesus Christ was “apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief cornerstone” (Ephesians 2: 20). Thus, Mormons believe that the perfect foundation of The Church of Jesus Christ continues to be “apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief cornerstone.”

Mormons believe that in a supreme act of love, Jesus Christ suffered and died for each of us. Mormons believe that because Jesus sacrificed His life and atoned for us, if we follow Him in the way that He prescribed, we can receive forgiveness of our sins, achieve reconciliation with our Heavenly Father, and qualify to live one day with our Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ.

Mormons believe that Jesus died and rose from the grave on the third day and thus overcame death by His literal, bodily resurrection. Mormons believe that because of Jesus’ resurrection, He has the power to resurrect every child of Heavenly Father in a marvelous, universal resurrection.

What is anti-Christian about these beliefs?

• Mormons love Jesus Christ as the central figure in their lives.

• Mormons worship and adore Him. Mormons pray to Heavenly Father in the name of Jesus Christ.

• Mormons weekly partake of the sacrament by which they covenant to take upon them the name of Jesus Christ, to always remember Jesus Christ, and to keep the commandments of Jesus Christ.

• Mormons take Jesus Christ as their example for living a happy and fulfilled life.

• Mormons seek to bring people to Jesus Christ so He can heal and bless them.

• Mormons have made sacred covenants to devote their lives to Jesus Christ and to emulate and serve Him.

Jesus gave His followers a test by which they could discern who was His true disciple and who was not. “Ye shall know them by their fruits.” Good trees bring forth good fruit and evil trees bring forth evil fruit. “Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them” (Matthew 7: 16-20). Therefore, an investigator needs only to observe the lives of Mormons to see which type of fruit they bring forth. For example,

• Has the investigator ever read The Book of Mormon to realize that nearly every page speaks of Jesus Christ?

• Had the investigator ever attended one of our worship services or listened to the sermons that invariably center on Jesus Christ?

• Is the investigator aware of the Church’s vast humanitarian efforts:Has the investigator listened to the Tabernacle Choir which consistently testifies of and worships Jesus Christ?

  • the thousands of yellow-Tee-shirted “Helping Hands” volunteers

  • the massive education fund to help students in third world countries

  • the enormous storehouses filled with food and staples for the poor

  • Deseret Industries which gives clothing, furniture and other items to the poor

  • the Church’s women’s organizations that extends millions of hours in compassionate service to those in need

  • or the myriad local and Church-wide projects to assist the sick, under-privileged and otherwise needy?

• Has the investigator ever listened to Latter-day Saints’ conversations with each other? Invariably, they default to their love of the Savior and His goodness in their lives.

Yes, Mormons are Christians—some of the most Christian people in the world.

Would Jesus Lie?  NO!!!

Would Jesus say to you one thing and then do another?  NO!!!

Do you believe all that Jesus has said?  YES!!!

If Jesus told you something in private, shouldn’t I believe it to be true?  YES!!!

If Jesus is your Savior, can He also be my Savior? YES!!!

Does Jesus love all of us?  YES!!!

Then why do we argue about what Jesus has said?

The Word of God contains God’s guidance as revealed to prophets of different civilizations.

The Bible came from from the land of Israel and

The Book of Mormon came from the Americas. (Approximately 600 BC and 400 AD.)

The Bible and The Book of Mormon Support Each Other.

Like apples and oranges, they both are good.

They both contain Jesus’s words..

And more records are yet to come forth!

After Jesus was crucified, there were fourty (40) days before Jesus left His Apostles and ascended into heaven.  During that time, Jesus took His Word, or Gospel, to others around the world.

The Bible says: John 10: 16
  16

“And other sheep (people) I have, which are not of this fold: (Jerusalem) them also I must bring, and they shall hear my voice; (Jesus appeared  to them in America) and there shall be one fold, and one shepherd.” (Jesus)

The Book of mormon says: Morm. 7: 8-10  8

“Therefore repent, and be baptized in the name of Jesus, and lay hold upon the gospel of Christ, which shall be set before you, not only in this record (Book of Mormon) but also in the record which shall come unto the Gentiles from the Jews, (Bible) which record shall come from the Gentiles unto you.

For behold, this is written (Book of Mornon) for the intent that ye may believe that (Bible); and if ye believe that (Bible) (Book of Mormon); and if ye believe this (Book of Mormon) ye will know concerning your fathers, and also the marvelous works which were wrought by the power of God among them.

And ye will also know that ye (Book of Mormon) are a remnant of the seed of Jacob (Bible); therefore ye are numbered among the people of the first covenant; and if it so be that ye believe in Christ, and are baptized, first with water, then with fire and with the Holy Ghost, following the example of our Savior, according to that which he hath commanded us, it shall be well with you in the day of judgment. Why Did Jesus go to other parts of the world with His word?  

(People) I have, which are not of this fold: them also I must bring, and they shall hear my voice; and there shall be

Jesus is the Shepherd or Savior of all of His children!

What if we don’t believe the Bible to be true?

Jesus said:  Matt. 18: 16 :

“But if he will not hear thee, (if you don’t believe the Bible) then take with thee one or two more, (The Book of Mormon, Book of The Lost Ten Tribes of Israel, Book from The Isles of the Sea, etc.) that in the mouth of two or three witnesses (Books or Records) every word may be established.”

And again in 2 Cor. 13: 1:

“This is the third time I am coming to you. In the mouth of two or three witnesses shall every word be established.”

Behold, the world is ripening in iniquity.

You must repent and be baptized, in the name of Jesus Christ.

I give unto you these words and a commandment, that you rely upon the things which are written.

These words are not of men nor of man, but of me.

For it is my voice which speaketh them unto you; for they are given by my Spirit unto you, and by my power you can read them one to another.

Wherefore, you can testify that you have heard my voice, and know my words and you shall fall down and worship the Father in my name.

And you must preach unto the world, saying:  “You must repent and be baptized, in the name of Jesus Christ.”

For all men must repent and be baptized, and not only men, but women, and children who have arrived at the years of accountability.  (8 years of age.)

And now, after that you have received this, you must keep my commandments in all things.

And when ye shall receive these things, I would exhort you that ye would ask God, the Eternal Father, in the name of Christ, if these things are not true; and if ye shall ask with a sincere heart, with real intent, having faith in Christ, he will manifest the truth of it unto you, by the power of the Holy Ghost.

And by the power of the Holy Ghost ye may know the truth of all things.
