“The only thing that stands between a person and what they want from life is often the will to try it and the faith to believe it’s possible”. Rich Devos
It is truly powerful, this freedom that is ours, where we can look at all of the options of this world and to then choose what we want out of life! This is the freedom that we fought for in our preexistent life and continue to battle for even today!
Each of us has the God given right to decide the path that we wish to follow. But, with each choice there is a reward or a punishment.
The key factor is to choose that which will bring you closest to that goal you have in your heart and mind that will bring you joy and happiness!
You can do anything you want to if you put your mind to it. Yes, anything is achievable if you work hard enough and smart enough to achieve it.
What kind of job are you looking for?
What kind of friends do you wish to keep?
Where do you want to live?
What kind of wife or husband do you want?
What about having a family? A Career?
These are all important questions that each of us should deal with and make.
I had a wonderful opportunity to listen to a Prophet of God, who told me and my family that “what ever decisions you have to make, you will always have at least two choices!”
He said, “ALWAYS CHOOSE THAT WHICH WILL BRING YOU CLOSEST TO THE CELESTIAL KINGDOM”, WHERE YOUR HEAVENLY FATHER DWELLS.
This has been great advice and a guide for me that has helped me to make important choices in my life. It can help you, too!
The Scriptures teach us:
“Therefore, cheer up your hearts, and remember that ye are free to act for yourselves—to choose the way of everlasting death or the way of eternal life.” 2 Ne. 10: 23
We need to remember who we are and why we came here; that this life is but a step towards everlasting life for all eternity. Those choices that we made before we came to this world determined where we are today, and those choices that we make today will determine where we will be going.
May each of us realize our full potential and to not worry so much about the work or time that will be involved but to make the right choice that will steer us in the right direction with long term thinking and planning with values, principles, and with the faith and the hope to achieve it!
