Nathan Osmond – One Of 2013 Ten Outstanding Young Americans

ST. LOUIS – What do Bill Clinton, Elvis Presley and Wayne Newton have in common? They are all past recipients of the U.S. Jaycees Ten Outstanding Young Americans award. For 75 years, the United States Junior Chamber (Jaycees) has recognized the ten young men and women – under the age of 40 – who best exemplify the highest attributes of the nation’s emerging generation. The U.S. Jaycees is pleased to name the 2013 Ten Outstanding Young Americans who will be honored at the 75th annual black-tie awards ceremony – to be held June 8, 2013, at the Doubletree Seattle Airport Hotel in Seattle, WA.

Nathan Osmond has been selected by the U.S. Junior Chamber (Jaycees) as one of the 2013 Ten Outstanding Young Americans!!

For 75 years, the United States Junior Chamber (Jaycees) has recognized the ten young men and women – under the age of 40 – who best exemplify the highest attributes of the nation’s emerging generation.

Osmond is being honored for his musical accomplishments and his involvement in numerous charities and foundations including American Fallen Warrior Memorial Foundation, Autism Speaks and Children’s Miracle Network.

The Ten Outstanding Young Americans program (TOYA) is one of the oldest and most prestigious recognition programs in America. Annually since 1938, The United States Jaycees has sought out the ten young men and women (under the age of 40) who best exemplify the finest attributes of America’s youthful achievers. Previous honorees include Bill Clinton (1979), John F. Kennedy (1946), Dick Cheney (1976), Kurt Warner (2010), Wayne Newton (1977), Gale Sayers (1969), Elvis Presley (1970) and Michele Tafoya (2001).

In other Nathan Osmond news, he will perform at Homeward Bound Heroes, a concert event on May 22 to benefit the Wounded in Action Family Foundation.

The concert will be at the Music Center at Strathmore in Bethesda, Maryland, and hosted by legendary broadcaster Larry King. Lonestar, Crossin Dixon, Sarah Darling and Angel Taylor, among others, will also perform to honor the men and women of our armed forces.

Osmond is the official voice for the Homeward Bound Heroes.

Olive Osmond Historic Cabin in Samaria, Idaho

Samaria, Idaho — About six miles southwest of Malad, Idaho, a girl was born in a log cabin on May 4, 1925. Eighty-five years later, seven of Olive Davis Osmond’s nine children walked into the restored cabin. “This is so surreal,” Donny Osmond said. “You can feel her presence here”
The Osmonds were in town for the dedication of the “Olive May Davis Osmond Cabin and Museum.” The cabin sits on property donated by Samaria resident Luke Waldron, a local high school teacher and history buff. It is only about 200 feet away from its original location.

Donny Osmond Finally Meets 4th Cousin In Manchester, England

The Osmond families are searching for their relatives!

Donny Osmond finally met up with Simon Collier of England!  Simon is Donny’s, Marie’s and the Osmond Brother’s 4th cousin and a direct descendant from Thomas Lythgoe and Esther Wilcock on his mother’s ‘Davis’ side of the family.

 Simon (is a police officer in England) and his wife and two daughters met Donny on January 28th in Manchester, England.

 The Osmond’s Genealogists, Clayton and Ethel Brough, have updated newfound relatives at www.osmond.org.  Are You Related To The Osmonds?
