Most of us know individuals who have had children out of wedlock. When a woman realizes that she is having a child out of wedlock when she did not plan to do so, she may be confronted with many conflicting emotions and many decisions. She may wonder what would be best for herself and for the baby; whom she should tell about her situation and when; and whether she should choose to keep the child and rear it herself, place the child for adoption, or consider an abortion.
